Call for Panels

Panels provide opportunities for experts in complementary areas to present multiple, contrasting viewpoints on compelling topics. Successful panel proposals involve a controversial or emerging topic, and articulate and enthusiastic panelists with differing perspectives.

Panel proposals should consist of (1) a title and 1-page extended abstract explaining the topic and goals of the panel, (2) a list of individual presenters and viewpoints, and (3) contact information for the organizer, moderator, and panelists. Panels typically have 3-4 members and a single moderator.

Panel submissions are to be submitted electronically via the JCDL 2007 submission web page. Submissions are due January 29, 2007. For more information, contact Diane Kelly, Panel Chair, at dianek@email.unc.edu.
